Michael Cera & Ellen Page on Juno

I think calling this an interview is a stretch, but here's a chat I had with two of the stars from the new film, Juno.  This conversation with Ellen Page, (of Hard Candy & X Men fame), and Michael Cera, (of Fox's Arrested Development & Superbad), meandered from sandwiches to on-set illness to chugging water.  We also talked about Bat Mitzvahs in Halifax, though that didn't make it into the final piece.  They were both very nice, and after the interview we discovered that both Michael Cera and I carry the same type of Moleskine notebook around with us to take notes in.  I suggested we trade, though he didn't seem so game.

Ellen Page stars as Juno, a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker, (Michael Cera).  With the help of her hot best friend Leah, (Olivia Thirlby), Juno finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa, (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner, longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents, (JK Simmons and Allison Janney), as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.

You can watch my interview with Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody, (the director and screenwriter of Juno), here.

That looks like a vodka bottle. Chugging vodka would be more interesting and also more lethal. Glad she stuck to water.

Oh, and as for the last question: turkey and swiss. In fact, a footlong double turkey with swiss on italian bread from Subway. Go forth, Boaz, to the Subway on 2nd and Battery.
