Re: Paul Rudd & Ken Marino: Wet, Hot Friends
It took place at a junket for the film in a New York hotel. When you can see posters for a film conveniently hanging in the background, it's usually a pretty good sign that it's a junket interview. Those publicists have a hard time being subtle...

Poor Betty! So, I didn't know that you knew Japanese, Paul! Did you pick some up just for the interview? Also, were you surprised that there were 3 of them? I notice that the quote above refers to a "duo"....

Re: Shonen Knife
Betty is okay! She got hit by the door right at the beginning of the interview. All the other footage of her was taken after that. I took two semesters of Japanese in college, but didn't study well enough to learn anything useful. I wasn't expecting Atsuko to be there. She's Naoko's sister, and an original member of the band. I had heard she retired from the band and that Naoko and Etsuko were the only two official band member now. I believe that's why the Boston Globe referred to them as a...

Re: David Wain Interview
The Ten looks hilarious. I'd need a bit more to go on to suggest titles for Little Big Men , though. IMDb just says: “Wild behavior forces a pair of energy drink reps (Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott) to enroll in a Big Brother program.”

Re: Wyclef Jean
Wow. Another one of those interviews that I completely enjoyed. He was wholly present for this--not distracated by anything. Loved the part about how he writes his music like a composer, and Paul Simon was the wild card. I also enjoyed the single that you posted above.

Re: Wyclef Jean
The entire interview flows as a gentle river that runs deep. I have made several trips to Haiti and should add that Wyclef Jean's cool and composed personality is in contrast with the rough and violent life of his birth place.
