Ken Marino and Paul Rudd are two very funny guys.

Re: Paul Rudd & Ken Marino: Wet, Hot Friends

Boaz ·
It took place at a junket for the film in a New York hotel. When you can see posters for a film conveniently hanging in the background, it's usually a pretty good sign that it's a junket interview. Those publicists have a hard time being subtle...

Cherry was great to interview. There were lots of stories that day that never made it to tape.

One comment, when you post could you state where the interview took place? The location here looks as interesting as the interview. I see you like ice water Paul, That is water is it not? Don't you just love cats?

Re: Cherry Adair's Rat Story

Paul Gude ·
Hi, James. Normally we name the location. Since this was conceived as a companion piece to the White Heat interview , I left it out. The location is the same for both interviews. Cherry Adair's awesome house.

What a great test of composure. My sister had a cat named TC, but I can't remember what it stood for....

That's a great story - aren't cats wonderful? they think we should be so grateful . . . My TC was whatever seemed appropriate at the time - he started out as "Tough Cat" (from the way he behaved when he was small enough to fit into my hand, but still managed to hiss at and threaten the two great big dogs, who thought I had brought them a snack!) - then he turned into "Talkative Cat" (the noisiest cat I have ever known, bar none), or "Terrible Cat" (when we were REALLY sick of the talking . .

Re: Reggie Watts: Disinformation (An Excerpt)

Paul Gude ·
At around 5:23, Reggie was reacting to a loud banging that was happening at the bar while someone was making a drink. I was amazed at how soft the banging ended up being on the tape. At the live show, everyone heard it.

That was cool ... well organized and seemed to come off without a hitch. Bet it was a blast being there live.

How refreshing to hear an author promoting using the library. Good interview and filiming guys. Keep 'em coming. Now, how bout a little more about the actual book? Have you read them?

Re: An Interview with Emma Bull and Will Shetterly

Paul Gude ·
Yes, I enjoyed both books! "Territory" is what Emma likes to call a "Secret History" book. The events *could* have happened the way they're described, and history wouldn't reflect it. It's a nice mix of old-west and fantasy. "The Gospel of the Knife" explores a very interesting idea regarding religious traditions, set in what is an interesting modern fantasy landscape. You can actually check out "The Gospel of the Knife" online, here: http://qwertyranch.blogspot.co...gospel-of-knife.html...

Re: Tao Lin Interview

Hmmmm..... I think the bear costume is a good look on you, Paul. But I'm not sure that Tao Lin knew what to do with you. Did you prep him??

Re: Tao Lin Interview

The blanket covering scene took a bit longer in real time than what you see in the video. I feared just a little for him (tao lin, not paul,) for a few moments.

I can imagine. He looks...like he might be a bit unsure about the whole thing... (and that's an understatement).

Comment

Re: Tao Lin Interview

Paul Gude ·
No, but some people next to Chris's car thought I was trying to break into it. I had gone out there to get the blanket while wearing the bear costume.

Re: Tao Lin Interview

Paul Gude ·
Oh, and Lori, Tao had just come from the airport. My prepping consisted of me walking up to him in the bear costume and saying, "Oh! I want to put a blanket on your head! Will that be cool?" He was extremely accommodating.

Neurology related: Why is it that some people are prone to getting songs stuck in their head, while others are seemingly immune? Ok maybe thats not exactly neurological, but thats my question

I always get songs I really don't like stuck in my head. I'm looking forward to the Harry Shearer. I like the voices he does for the Simpsons (I've been a fan since the Tracy Ullman days for the record) but I think I like him even more for the characters he has played in all those Christopher Guest movies (This is Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind etc.). i don't know what circumstances you will be interviewing him in but questions along those lines would be cool.
