The blanket covering scene took a bit longer in real time than what you see in the video. I feared just a little for him (tao lin, not paul,) for a few moments.

No, but some people next to Chris's car thought I was trying to break into it. I had gone out there to get the blanket while wearing the bear costume.

Oh, and Lori, Tao had just come from the airport. My prepping consisted of me walking up to him in the bear costume and saying, "Oh! I want to put a blanket on your head! Will that be cool?" He was extremely accommodating.

Local weekly seattle paper, The Stranger has a piece in it's latest issue called From Lowest to Highest: The Levels of Greatness a Fiction Writer Can Achieve in America from Tao Lin. Amusing, but kind of lost on me since I don't really know the names of authors. HA! Also his Me vs. the Audience piece is awesome! It is a review of the audience at the Elliot Bay appearance which took place just after this interview.
