I spoke to Tao Lin about his books Bed and Eeeee Eee Eeee while he was in Seattle for a reading. We also talked about his band, Sad Bear vs. Happy Cobra.
“Tao Lin will kick your ass and say thank you afterwards!”—Amy Fusselman, author of The Pharmacist’s Mate
Amusing, but kind of lost on me since I don't really know the names of authors.
HA! Also his Me vs. the Audience piece is awesome! It is a review of the audience at the Elliot Bay appearance which took place just after this interview.
Oh, and Lori, Tao had just come from the airport. My prepping consisted of me walking up to him in the bear costume and saying, "Oh! I want to put a blanket on your head! Will that be cool?"
The blanket covering scene took a bit longer in real time than what you see in the video. I feared just a little for him (tao lin, not paul,) for a few moments.
